A bipolar lawyer and mother suffered grave injustices due to the stigma associated with her diagnosis. The culmination of 10 years of mental health advocacy is her book, Brain Bondage. This book does not tell her personal story. Instead, this author targets six professions, explaining how each can end stigma and promote mental wellness and justice. The professions are the media, the faith community, the legal community, the medical and non-medical mental health providers, and the educators.
